This weekend has been a blast. Getting to spend it with two of the most amazing girls has made me feel very blessed. We started out the weekend going out to Maggiano's Thursday night. We obviously were the loudest table in the restaurant! After grubbin' on some delicious Italian food, I took the girls upstairs to the Parlor to have a drink. It was fun to just sit at the Parlor and talk about our crazy lives.
Friday night was a night to remember, at least as best we can! :) Friday we woke up bright and early. Beth and I walked the dogs and then we all got ready for a day in the city. We spent most of the day shopping. Southcenter was calling our name! After visiting a few of our favorite stores, I took the girls into Old Bellevue. Old Bellevue is a little strip of cute shops and restaurants that all have an old downtown theme.
We ate at the cutest little sandwich shop, Gilbert's, and then set out for more shopping. This time we window shopped. We went down to The Bravern in Bellevue, where some of the biggest designers in the world sell their product. We explored Niemun Marcus, Jimmy Choo, and much, much, more. It was fun to see the insane prices, and try and imagine that there are people in the world that truly spend $1200 on a pair of bejeweled stilettos. I'll never understand it!
After a day of shopping we ended Friday with a bang! We met up with a few old friends down at a dueling piano bar, Chopstix. Here we ate, drank, and danced and sang like we were the next Destiny's Child! It was a blast! We had a table of 7 girls, and we were the most wild, loud, and more than likely entertaining group in the house. From there the night only continued to get wild and crazy. We headed to Paso's for a few more drinks, where we ended up being asked to leave. Apparently with one girl looking like she wasn't feeling too hot, and a broken glass we gave off the vibe of being too drunk? Whoops!
So onto the next bar we went! We finished the night with a bang at Ozzies. A lovely two story karaoke bar in the heart of Seattle. By this time we were all partied out. The bar was packed and the night was getting late. We stayed and fought the crowd for a while, made friends with a few of the ladies in the bathroom, and stayed long enough to put Beth over the edge!! And guess what... we ended the night with a dream come true! WE GOT TO HOLD BETH'S HAIR!! :) (for those of you close to us you know exactly why this is a success. And for those of you not close to us, don't judge! Haha the story is great!)
After a night like Friday, Saturday ended up being an easy going day. It took most the day for our Business sister to recover. We didn't get her out of the house until almost 3 o'clock! But once we were out it was back to exploring the city. The day was spent taking it easy. We strolled around Pike Place and the Waterfront. Looked at the antique shops, listened to the banjo, and even enjoyed the typical Starbucks coffee. After Pike Place I took the ladies to a little treasure, Alki Beach. Neither of them had been before so I was excited to show them how adorable West Seattle was. I drove them through the little neighborhoods and showed them all the cute 1920's homes. We strolled down to the beach and walked the boardwalk. Looking at shops, houses, and the ocean was the perfect combination. After walking around for a while, we met up with our friend Marcus, for dinner.
We scarfed on some pizza and pasta then headed back to the condo. It seemed that we had been going and going since the second the girls got into town, and IT SHOWED! The second we got back to the condo the couch seemed to suck us in. We ended up passing out and calling it an early night. No one had the energy for another wild night.
Today the girls are headed home. I'm going to be sad to see them go. It's not often I have visitors and get to enjoy the city I live in with the people I love. We are going to get up and head to church, then I am guessing not long after that they will take off. Ewww. Not looking forward to them leaving, but I am feeling so fortunate I got to spend the time with them that I did. I guess we will just have to plan another girls weekend soon!
