It's been a lot easier to smile lately. I don't know if its the change of the season, the time I have been getting with my closest friends, the job improvements, or all the new music I have been listening to lately. But... it's been a lot easier to smile.
Last night I got to go see Dave Matthews play acoustic live in Bellevue Square. He was amazing. He always. is. He only played for about an hour; but the hour with him made me smile all the way through the night. His voice, his lyrics, his emotions... ALL AMAZING!
After watching Dave I had a phone date with my best girlie friend! It's crazy to think that someone else out there thinks like you, and understands how you work. We talked for an hour and a half on the phone, and I am sure we could have talked all night! She's been awesome to be around, makes me realize how important it is to have not just a best friend, but someone you can relate to, seek advice from, and go on wild and crazy adventures with.
Tomorrow and Sunday I get to spend my time on the snow. A day at Crystal with an awesome new friend, followed by a day at Baker. I just keep replaying all the events in my life... and all I can think is I'm a lucky girl.
If there's something that I have learned, its that the key to happiness is not trying to be happy, but finding appreciation in all the simple things in your life. Dave Matthews, Jen Chavez (and all my other girlfriends - Haylee, Molly, Rachel, Beth) the boys (Erik, Matt, Chris, Jesse, Dan) the snow, Tator, my family, and everything else that surround me in my daily life--- Thank you, you guys are the Key to my Happiness.. I truly mean it when I say... I'm a lucky girl.
