Appreciate It.

I have been realizing more and more how important it is to have people in your life that are truly inspiring.  The past month I have had the pleasure of helping a girlfriend of mine get settled into Seattle living.  She took a leap of faith, packed her bags, and made the move from California to Seattle.  If any of you have moved before, you know the challenges a move like this can bring.

Having her here has been nothing short of a blessing.  She is someone I trust and have the highest respect for.  This girl has the best listening ears, great words of advice and encouragement, and a heart that is so full of joy it's unbelievable.  But out of all the characteristics she carries there is one that always makes me smile... her appreciation.

It is often we we are talking she refers to the people in her life as "such beautiful people".  She often tells stories of the ways people have touched her and the things she admires in others.  She appreciates everyone.  I have always thought it was important to let the people you care about know the love you have for them, to always say thank you, and to cherish the gifts you are given (sometimes physical gifts, sometimes not). To see such a strong quality of appreciation in someone is not only refreshing but inspiring.

I hope that all my friends and family know how much I appreciate them.  In the words of Dizz-E: "those closest to me are just such beautiful people".  I don't say thank you enough, I don't say I love you enough... but every person who has touched my life in some way... THANK YOU & I LOVE YOU. 

Now... enough with the mushy stuff... it's time for hiking, camping on the beach, and fire works!  HAPPY FORTH OF JULY WEEKEND!!!
