Ever.Rest.

Recently I have been caught up in a new TV series.  Okay... So the TV series isn't new, but it's new to me!  My dad introduced me to a reality TV series called 'Everest: Beyond the Limit'  and OH MY GOD what an AMAZING and INSPIRING television program it is!

I have been hoping on Netflix almost every night to turn on episode after episode of this intense reality.  Climbers from all around the world pay 50,000 dollars in order to get their shot at the summit. In the show these climbers have to prove themselves to their expedition leader that they are strong enough and acclimated enough to make the trek to the summit.  Some die, many are frost bit, and most won't make the summit. 

And although the show is intense and somewhat crazy, it makes me want to throw on my crampons and head up the mountain with them! 

I have always had a passion for the outdoors.  I feel in my recent years however, this passion has tremendously grown.  When I see these athletes putting on their pack and attempting to make the climb to literally the top of the world, I can't help but day dream of joining an expedition team and heading straight for the summit.

Maybe someday I will have the strength and courage to climb Mt. Everest.
