4 More Months... Then Move Time?

August is approaching, and actually kind of quickly.  This scares me!  Come August, my lease is up and I have a big decision just waiting to be made: Do I renew my lease? Do I go month to month? Do I move? And if I move where do I move to?

This past year has been a testing one.  I have learned to live 100% on my own, to live on a tight budget, to make a long distance relationship work, and to fill my free time.  And while I haven't always succeeded at the challenges this past year has brought, I definitely have learned a lot.

In four months it will be time for more decision making and low and behold more "learning". Here are some of the things I am debating:

Stay in Seattle Area
Move back to Tri-Cities
Move to a far away and NEW location
Staying in Seattle would either give me the choice to continue to grow in my career where I am at, or allow me to apply to another event coordinating position, and continue to grow in that field.
Moving back to Tri-Cities would allow me to be closer to my friends, family, and boyfriend.
Colorado? Montana?  Moving to a new location would help me experience more, see more, and stretch me more.  It would be an adventure and something I can still get away with while I am young.
Pros:
Cons:
Pros:
Cons:
Pros:
Cons:
CAREER- I work for a company that has great career growth opportunity and over time I would be able to continue to grow.
SOCIAL LIFE-
I don’t have one! None of my friends live here so whatever I do, I do it by myself… not fun for a social bee!
FRIENDS – I miss my social life… I miss girls night, house parties, bar hopping, coffee dates, BBQ’s, camping trips, etc. etc. etc.
PAY CUT – Let’s face it, jobs in Tri-Cities don’t pay as much as jobs in the big city.
ADVENTURE – I always love going to a new place, meeting new people, and experiencing an new culture.  Getting to know a new city is always exciting.
FAR FROM FAMILY – I want to move some place far… this means I wouldn’t be close to my family which would be hard.
CITY – The city is beautiful and I could live here for years before experiencing it all
RAIN – It’s true what they say, it always rains here! And while it makes things beautiful and green… fall, winter, and spring are depressing always being stuck in the house!
FAMILY – It seems every time I come into town I never get to spend enough time with family.  Living there would give me a chance to go visit WAY more often.
CAREER GROWTH – When looking at jobs in the event coordinating / admin. Positions it appears that there is not a lot of room for career growth in Tri-Cities.
FRESH START – Moving some place new is always a good time to set goals, reflect, and start fresh.  Change feels good.
FRIENDS – Starting over in a new location means you are a stranger to EVERYONE.  It can be scary and challenging to meet new people.
MOUNTAINS – The mountains are within an arm’s reach, I can hike, ride, camp, and explore any time I please.
DISTANCE – I would have to continue a long distance relationship. Which means lots of miles on the car, tons of money in gas, more night alone, and a relationship that consists of texts and phone calls except for the couple weekends a month that I can get home.
BOYFRIEND –
Distance relationship NO MORE if I move home!!! J  This is probably the BIGGEST pro for me. To be close to the person that supports, understands and challenges me.  To be close to him would mean more to me than anything.
SMALL TOWN – Tri-Cities is a small town, more drama and fewer activities.  This creates a lot of boredom!
OPTIONS – Choosing a new location gives me lots of options. I can decide on the atmosphere, city, and career that I like and pick a brand new location based off all my desires.
MONEY – Like any move, money will be tight… only with moving a great distance it will be a lot tighter.  This option would stretch my budget and I would have to be a lot more prepared before committing.
DIVERSITY – Restaurants, stores, people, concerts, bars, events, fairs, etc. etc. etc. There is always something going on and to experience diversity you just have to step outside.
EXPENSES – This place is an expensive place with an expensive taste.  It basically cost money to breathe in Seattle! Between toll bridges, parking fees, and overpriced groceries and gas I am sure to remain broke!
COUSIN & GOD BABY – With the recent news of my cousin and God Baby moving to Washington I would be able to be close to them and watch my God baby grow.
DESSERT – Say good bye to green, mountains, and forest.  I would have to make a trip in order to continue to enjoy camping, hiking, and snowboarding.
EXPLORING – it always seems like when you first move there is so much to do.  No mountains to climb, new cities to explore.  Talk about a ton of fun!
POTATO – This option would be the hardest on Potato as he would have to deal with a long car ride, a lot of packing and unpacking, and adjusting to a new atmosphere.

Ugh... even after listing out Pros and Cons, I still don't know which choice I prefer.  The one that is most appealing is to move to a whole new location far away.  This sounds like an adventure and a great time of testing and growth.  But Tri-Cities has all the people I love, and Seattle has the career path I'm interested in.  Is it true that you can't have it all?? Because if only I could have great friends and a great job some place new like Colorado or Montana... then the decision wouldn't be so hard!!! :)
